Catechesis of the Good Shepherd - St. Joseph Catholic Church

Hands on approach to Religious education for children!

St. Joseph is starting the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd for children 3-6 years old on November 20, 2022. Please stop by on Nov 6^th or Nov 13^th anytime between 9-10:30 am for a short tour of our newly set up room in the school & to register your child(ren). Contact Christa Bauer at cmdohmen@sbcglobal.net for more information. Sessions will be on Sundays 9 – 10:30 am, so you can attend Mass before or after.

Children learn how much God loves them through the parables Jesus tells like that of the Good Shepherd.

As the child works with the lovely hand-made materials, they ponder more about who Jesus is and the message that He brings!

The prepared room has lovely child- size materials that help children learn about the deeper meaning of Liturgy, especially Baptism and Eucharist

The catechists demonstrate the scripture readings or gestures and signs of liturgy with the materials the children may then work with.
